March for Parks Wrap-Up 2024

Thank You!

The 22nd annual March for Parks event was another remarkable success! Approximately 350 marchers, volunteers, sponsors, and staff braved the wind and cold at Twin Lakes Park on Saturday, March 23 and raised over $65,000 to fund projects and programs in our Westmoreland County parks and trails.

Going back to its roots, the March for Parks had a BBQ pig roast lunch sponsored by the Westmoreland County Board of Commissioners, fun games and activities for kids, a big basket raffle auction, music and entertainment, and a march around the picturesque upper and lower lakes of Twin Lakes Park.

Funds raised at the March for Parks directly benefit our parks and trails; marchers could designate their donations to various projects, such as: the Mammoth Lake rehabilitation campaign, the 2-mile relocation of the Five Star Trail, closing the middle gap of the Westmoreland Heritage Trail, and improvements and new projects in our four regional parks. The grass roots support shown by our marchers is extremely important to secure other grants and funding to construct new facilities that benefit our neighbors and communities.

The Westmoreland County Parks and Recreation Citizens Advisory Board would like to extend a big THANK YOU to everyone who participated in the 2024 March for Parks fundraiser on Saturday, March 23!

The Westmoreland County Parks and Recreation Citizens Advisory Board, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation and donations to it are tax deductible (ID #25-1895187). There are no goods or services provided in return for a contribution.

The Citizens Advisory Board fundraises for the March for Parks year-round. If you couldn’t attend this year’s event but would still like to donate, please send a check made payable to "WCPRCAB" to:
